THE RBA has taken the following action on behalf of the tax payers of the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach NJ

On January 9th, 2001 member of the RBA attended a presentation and question answer session held by John Walsh of Bay Pointe Engineering.  The focus of the meeting was the drainage plan for our community. Mr. Walsh maintained an open willingness to address specific issues of concern and incorporate other ideas in developing a final plan to attend to our drainage needs.  We thank Mr. Walsh, Mayor Passola and Council for responding to the RBA's request for answers regarding the Baltimore Ave. Drainage project.

The RBA Executive Committee will continue to review Engineering Bills, Grants and applications for past years as well as 2001.

On August 25, 2000 we received certain documents from the Clerk for Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ represented as being responsive to our requests.  Upon review of the documentation provided by the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach on August 25, 2000, we determined that we were not in receipt of the actual bills/vouchers as requested. 

On September 8, 2000 members of the RBA visited Borough Hall and were permitted to inspect and copy records.

We have obtained some of the bills/ Vouchers for the past three months submitted by law firms and engineering firms representing the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and specifically bills submitted by: 

   Hiering, Hoffmann and Gannon

   Bay Pointe Engineering Associates 

The RBA is requesting additional Bills submitted and paid through other accounts to the Engineer and Attorney as part of the Borough Variance Process.

We are in receipt bills and Vendor Activity Reports from the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, which summarizes and sets forth payments as follows:

The RBA is committed to assisting the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach by reviewing and analyzing all costs associated with the operation of the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach and its various municipal services.  

We appreciate the cooperation we are receiving from the Borough and look forward to reviewing the actual bills submitted by the above referenced firms. We will pay for any and all costs associated with the production of this information and request that the information sought be produced upon request.  In the alternative if the information in whole or in part is not produced or otherwise not made available, we would like a written explanation as to any delay, inability or refusal within 24 hours of this request.
